Bishop Tyron Ivy

Anointed Gospel Preacher, Conduit for Deliverance, and Prophetic Messenger

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” – Ephesians 4:1-6

Espousing ministry in every aspect of his life is fundamental for Bishop Tyron J. Ivy. Spend even an infinitesimal amount of time with him and you will soon learn that ministry is not simply what he does but in fact who he is.

An anointed gospel preacher, conduit for deliverance, and prophetic messenger, Bishop Ivy, was called to minister at an early age in his native, Kansas City, MO. Gods validation is made clear via the trajectory He allowed through His placement and Bishop Ivy’s service to Gods’ leaders. While in St. Louis, MO, he served and studied at the feet of the late Bishop P.L. Scott of Lively Stone Church of God. Bishop Ivy earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from DePaul University-Chicago, IL. His tenure in Chicago afforded Bishop Ivy the opportunity to connect with exceptional leaders Bishop William Ellis – Apostolic Pentecostal Church Morgan Park, and Bishop Willie James Campbell – St. James Ministries Church of God In Christ. But Bishop Ivy’s transition to Phoenix, Arizona would prove the golden spiritual thread that would weave the tapestry to his answering the clarion call of destiny placed on his life.

Greater Hope is a multi-dimensional ministry that infects and affects the community and reaches far beyond the four walls of the church.

Upon arrival to the greater Phoenix area, God led Bishop Ivy to unite with Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Before long, Bishop Ivy was favored to serve the late Bishop Alexis Thomas as armor bearer and Elder of Pastoral Care with unwavering diligence and faithfulness.

In 2012, God inculcated great vision in Bishop Ivy. That vision was the birthing of Greater Hope Christian Church (“GHOPE”), where Bishop Tyron Ivy is senior pastor. Resting on 2.5 acres and occupying six buildings known as the Hope campus, Greater Hope is a multi-dimensional ministry that infects and affects the community and reaches far beyond the four walls of the church. Greater Hope’s indelible footprint in the community includes its’ monthly initiative “Produce On Wheels” that provides 70 pounds of produce for a mere $12 to anyone who attends the event; “Joseph’s Storehouse”, an outreach program located on the Hope campus that provides clothing, shoes, household items, food and infant supplies to those in need;

“Desert Hope Community Development established in 2015; and the GHOPE “Great Turkey Giveaway” every November that serves more than 500 families with complete meals for the thanksgiving holiday. To love God is to love ALL people and the vision God provided includes a space where individuals can take off their masks, live and love authentically, grow spiritually, gain economic empowerment and become whom God has called them to be.

Bishop Ivy has successfully completed the University of Southern California’s Faith Leaders Institute at the Cecil T. Murray School for Community Engagement as a Fellow. In 2015, he was blessed to be elevated to the office of Overseer of the British West Indies for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International until the region was dissolved.

Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Ivy founded Hope Fellowship of Churches International (HFCI), a biblically based, episcopal structured, alliance of pastors, church leaders and ministries which carry the mandate to build, empower, and equip leaders for innovative and dynamic leadership throughout the world.

In 2017, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Ivy united in fellowship and covenant partnership with Bishop Edgar L. Vann, II and Kingdom Alliance Covenant Fellowship, and became a Prince in the Lords church through his elevation to the office of Bishop in September 2018.

Bishop Ivy joyously celebrates 22 years of marriage to First Lady Jenoia Ivy. They are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Conner and Payton. Above all the accolades and accomplishments, this man of God has a passion to preach the Word of God, for the right purpose and season in the lives of the people. Bishop Tyron J.
